Education: Attended Notre Dame Catholic HS in Fairfield, CT.
● Played SS
● Currently is the only 4 year starter on Varsity in program history.
● He earned all conference and all state honors in his time at Notre Dame.
After graduating Notre Dame, PJ went to further his playing career at Sacred Heart University
(2014-2018) where he played under head coach Nick Giaquinto.
● Started as a freshman at DH where he played in 41 games out of the 56 in the regular
season. He would then go on to being a 4 year starter at SHU as well, holding down 3rd
base and the DH position.
● Had a breakout Junior campaign where he led the team in batting average (.315) and
RBI’s (44).
● Recorded 21 multi hit games that year and drove in 7 runs in one game with a grand slam
and 3 run home run. It was the most rbis in a single game for the NEC that year.
● Senior year he became captain of the pioneers where they fell short of the playoffs, jump
starting his coaching career.
Experience:
● 8 years coaching experience.
● Started at Clubhouse with Mike Porzio where he was a hitting instructor and travel coach.
Coached alongside Willie Upshaw who was a major league hitting instructor as well.
● At the clubhouse he became blast technology certified which is based primarily on
analytics.
● Coached at the Grind for one year
● 2020-2022 was the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at his Alma mater, Sacred
Heart.
● Currently coaches at Greens Farms Academy where he continues to share his knowledge
and experience with all kids who want to play at the next level, whichever level that may
be. His biggest goal is to help players develop and place them in the best environment to
prepare for college!
Anthony Rauso is a high-energy baseball trainer and coach specializing in the development of youth and middle school athletes ages 8–14. A four-year varsity starter at Platt Tech and starting second baseman, Anthony went on to play collegiate baseball at the University of Bridgeport before an injury ended his playing career.
With three years of experience coaching travel baseball, Anthony brings a player-first approach that blends strong fundamentals with game-speed training. He works primarily with hitters and position players, focusing on efficient mechanics, repeatable movement patterns, and building athleticism that translates directly to on-field performance.
Anthony’s training sessions are fast-paced, detail-oriented, and intentional. He emphasizes focus, effort, and attention to detail in every rep, helping players develop confidence, discipline, and a competitive mindset. Known for his intensity and ability to build strong relationships with his athletes, Anthony creates an environment where players are pushed to improve while feeling supported and challenged.
His goal is to help young athletes build a strong foundation—physically and mentally—that prepares them for long-term success in baseball and beyond.
Vinchenza Andretta is a dedicated and passionate softball coach with a strong playing background at both the high school and collegiate levels. A Varsity player at Warde High School, Vinchenza earned All-FCIAC honors and served as a Varsity Captain, demonstrating leadership, discipline, and a deep understanding of the game.
Continuing her softball career at the collegiate level, Vinchenza competed in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) at Franklin Pierce University, where she further developed her skills and game knowledge. She played both catcher and shortstop throughout her high school and college career, giving her a well-rounded perspective on defensive strategy, field leadership, and game management.
Known for being hard-working, dedicated, and motivating, Vinchenza pushes her players to be the best versions of themselves—both on and off the field. She brings strong softball IQ, attention to detail, and a commitment to player development to every practice and game. Above all, Vinchenza is passionate about giving back to the softball community and helping young athletes grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game.
